A Matt Rempe hit leads to a fight, which he doesn’t win. Wash, rinse, repeat.

The New York Rangers’ behemoth just seems like he doesn’t get it on so many levels. The NHL has already suspended him twice for a total of 12 games during his one year in the league.

His elbow on Nick Blankenburg of the Nashville Predators on Sunday afternoon looked like another suspension, but he only received a minor penalty for it and no supplementary discipline.

Rempe can’t seem to hit properly, and when he fights, he almost always comes out on the wrong side of the equation.

The only way he’s going to learn is for the NHL to keep suspending and fining him until he gets it.

Today’s video column has more on Rempe.
