Why Draymond Green didn’t want ‘fight over’ no-trade clause in Warriors contract originally appeared on NBC Sports Bay Area

In June, Draymond Green opted out of his contract with the hopes that Warriors could sign a player with the “mid-level” slot (aka LeBron James), but when that fell through, the four-time NBA champion re-signed with Golden State – with one note-worthy contractual detail.

“It was reported that I did not receive a no-trade clause,” Green said on “The Draymond Green Show.” “No, I didn’t. I think it was something that we could have fought over, but it wasn’t worth fighting over. I think if the Warriors want to trade me at some point in the season, they want to trade me. I’ve never been a guy who wants to stay somewhere where I’m not wanted.”
