Brooks Koepka caused shockwaves throughout the professional golf scene when he left LIV Golf in December and rejoined the PGA Tour just a few weeks later.
Koepka left the PGA Tour in 2022 to join LIV Golf, and he achieved huge success on the Saudi-backed league, winning five times in total.

However, as 2025 rolled around it quickly became clear that the five-time major champion wasn’t happy over on LIV Golf.
Brooks Koepka cut a frustrated figure on the course during LIV Golf events last year and in December, rumors began to circulate that the American was eyeing up a PGA Tour return.
And after leaving LIV towards the end of December last year, Koepka finally got his wish when Brian Rolapp created the Returning Member Program which allowed the 36-year-old the chance to come back.

Koepka has admitted that he’s delighted to be back on the PGA Tour, highlighting the weekly grind of ‘finding it in the dirt’ as something that he desperately missed.

However, behind closed doors, the American will undoubtedly be really disappointed with his PGA Tour return so far.
Brooks Koepka should be disappointed about PGA Tour return
Now all the excitement surrounding Koepka’s return has fizzled out, a sense of reality has set in.
Is Koepka the player he once was? Is he still capable of mixing it with the likes of Scottie Scheffler, Rory McIlroy, Cam Young and other big-name stars?
Does he even have the golf game required to compete with the very best young players on the planet?
As harsh as this may sound, it seems like Brooks Koepka has regressed as a golfer over the past 12 months.

The 36-year-old is extremely harsh on himself, so he will probably admit that he has been nowhere near good enough this season.
Koepka has just one top-10 finish to his name in 15 PGA Tour starts in 2026 – a T-9 at the Cognizant Classic back in March.

He has missed five cuts, has withdrawn once and has finished outside of the top-25 more times than inside.
His performances in the majors this year have left a lot to be desired as well, with one missed cut, T-12, T-28 and T-55 finishes to his name.
There is no doubt in my mind that Brooks Koepka will be devastated with the form he has shown this year.

The thing is, he is working harder on his game than ever before. However, the results simply haven’t been there.
All is not lost, of course. Koepka can still get hot and go on a run between now and the end of the season.
Besides, the good news is that form is temporary while class is permanent. Nevertheless, he will be desperate to return to the PGA Tour winners’ circle as soon as possible.
Brooks Koepka’s PGA Tour stats in 2026
As mentioned previously, Koepka’s iron play has been the standout part of his game this season.
The 36-year-old is ranked 8th in strokes gained approach so far in 2026.

However, his putting has been woeful, and he would admit that himself.
Koepka is ranked 115th in strokes gained putting on the PGA Tour in 2026 so far.
His driving has been average at best, and he is ranked 56th in strokes gained off the tee.
The former LIV Golf star is sitting in 48th in the strokes gained around the green category and he is well down in 144th in strokes gained scrambling.
Aside from his iron play, Brooks Koepka’s game is obviously not where he would like it to be right now.
His return to the PGA Tour has fizzled out into somewhat of a disappointment, and now the onus is on him to turn things around.
