If you’re looking at the leaderboard of the 2026 Truist Championship, you won’t see Brooks Koepka anywhere on the list.
But take a look at the Myrtle Beach Classic and there is the five-time major champ, playing with names like Christiaan Bezuidenhout and Brandt Snedeker. Why is that?

There’s a simple reason for it: As part of Koepka’s “Returning Member Program” that took him from LIV Golf back to the PGA Tour, he’s not allowed to be a sponsor invite to the PGA Tour’s Signature Events. That includes the Truist.
He was hoping to get into the RBC Heritage and the Cadillac Championship the last two weeks as an alternate, but that didn’t happen. What he’s got to do is continue to play and accrue points to up his World Golf Ranking (he’s 127th as of publishing this).
If he keeps playing well — and we’ll see him at the PGA Championship next week — he could get into Signature Events.

Brooks Koepka spoke about his battle to get back in to Signature Events
“I knew this year was going to be challenging to even get in them. I kind of thought by maybe around U.S. Open, but to know that I’m kind of knocking on the door already is a good thing. Just the answer to everything is: Play better, and you’re in.”
