Chase Elliott got his 22nd NASCAR Cup Series career win by passing Denny Hamlin and claiming the Cookout 400 at Martinsville on March 29.
It was the second career win at Martinsville for Elliott. Elliott led twice for 84 total laps. Hamlin, who was on the pole, led for 292 laps.

It was the first win of the season for Hendrick Motorsports.
Joey Lagano and Ty Gibbs, neither of whom led at any point, finished third and fourth, respectively, while William Byron, who led six laps, was fifth.
