Chase Briscoe brought home win No. 1 of the 2026 NASCAR Cup Series season.
Briscoe passed race leader William Byron on green flag stops and held off the Hendrick Motorsports driver for the victory at Chicagoland Speedway in the eero 400.

Joe Gibbs Racing teammates went 1-2-3 with Christopher Bell second and NASCAR Cup Series points leader Denny Hamlin third. Byron, who won the first two stages, slipped from second to fourth in the closing laps.
Briscoe had second-place finishes at both Atlanta and Sonoma for his best races of the year prior to the NASCAR Chicagoland race. Briscoe and the NASCAR Cup Series return to Atlanta next week.
