Fifty players are moving on to the next stage of the PGA Tour’s FedExCup Playoffs.
But Keith Mitchell and Jordan Spieth will not among them, as a group of 20 golfers were eliminated after the conclusion of the FedEx St. Jude Championship on Sunday, Aug. 16. Scottie Scheffler won the first event of the playoffs in a runaway, winning by 8 strokes at the TPC Southwind in Memphis, Tennessee.

Mitchell entered the week ranked 49 in the FedEx Cup standings but slid down two spots after his performance in Memphis. Spieth was 54th and climbed two spots, but it was not enough to make the Top 50 golfers who will advance to the next round.
Harris English needed to have a strong outing this week after coming into the weekend at 51st, but he dropped three more spots in the rankings. Max Homa, Pierceson Coody and Harry Hall were also eliminated.
The FedExCup Playoffs continue with the BMW Championship in St. Louis, beginning Aug. 20.
