The main card for UFC Vegas 99 begins at 7 p.m. ET, with the prelims starting at 4 p.m. ET. Hernandez and Pereira should make their way to the octagon around 10:30 p.m. ET, depending on how long the undercard fights last.
Hernandez (12-2, 1 NC) competed on Dana White’s Contender Series in 2018, getting suspended after testing positive for marijuana. Since then, he has gone 6-2 in the octagon and is on a five-fight win streak. “Fluffy” is ranked 13th at middleweight.
Pereira (31-11, 2 NC), ranked 14th, is on an eight-fight win streak. “Demolidor” is an unorthodox fighter, often flipping in the octagon. He has eleven wins via knockout and nine via submission.
The co-main event will be Rob Font vs. Kyler Phillips. With a boxing-like fight style, Font (20-8) is 1-2 in his last three fights, his last contest almost a year ago. Phillips (12-2) is on a three-fight win streak after an initial run on Dana White’s Contender Series.
Matheus Nicolau faces Asu Almabayev. Nicolau (19-4-1) is on a two-fight losing streak and has been with the UFC since 2015 after competing on The Ultimate Fighter. Almabayev (20-2) dominated with M-1 and Brave CF and is 3-0 in the octagon.
Ultimate Fighter 31 winner Brad Katona (14-3) faces former DWCS participant Jean Matsumoto (15-0), while former football player Austin Lane (12-5, 1 NC) faces taekwondo medalist Robelis Despaigne (5-1).
