The Berlanga vs. Sheeraz fight is at Louis Armstrong Stadium in New York on July 12. The event starts at 6 p.m. ET. Berlanga and Sheeraz should make their way to the ring around 11 p.m. ET, depending on how long the undercard fights last.

Berlanga (23-1) faced a massive step-up in competition when he lost against Canelo Alvarez last September for undisputed gold. The two-time amateur medalist rebounded with a win in March.

Despite the loss to Canelo, the Brooklyn-born Berlanga, 28, believes he’s the man to beat at super middleweight. He’s ready to prove that on fight night.

“He said we’re overlooking him, but I don’t overlook any fighter,” Berlanga said. “You are in NYC. You are in the lion’s den. We’re going into this looking to hurt him. I’m going to break every bone in this guy’s face and do what I do best: put on a show.”

After holding Commonwealth and European gold, Sheeraz (21-0-1) fought Carlos Adames to a controversial draw for the WBC middleweight title. The 26-year-old from Berkshire believes he’s being overlooked as he heads into a new weight class and is ready to prove doubters wrong.

“I’m coming, and I’m coming for everything. I feel like this fight, for the first time in my career, I’m being underestimated. I get it; you’re only as good as your last performance in boxing,” Sheeraz said.

“I’m telling you now, on July 12 – when I get the win – the Hamzah Sheeraz hype train will be back on again. We’re coming with everything.”
