Carlos Alcaraz, the reigning Wimbledon champ and No. 2 seed, is gearing up for a heavyweight fourth-round clash with 14th seed Andrey Rublev.

The 22-year-old Spaniard had to dig deep in his opening match, clawing past Fabio Fognini in five sets, but has since looked sharper with convincing wins over Oliver Tarvet and Jan-Lennard Struff.

Rublev, on the other hand, has had a bumpier ride, he dropped sets to Laslo Djere and Lloyd Harris before finding his groove with a routine straight-sets win over Adrian Mannarino.

Alcaraz enters this matchup riding a wave of momentum. His 2025 season has been nothing short of stellar, with titles in Rotterdam, Monte Carlo, Rome, Roland Garros, and Queen’s, plus a runner-up finish in Barcelona.

Rublev, while dangerous on his day, has lacked the same consistency. He captured the title in Doha and reached the final in Hamburg but has struggled to string together strong results.
