The Laver Cup has been hosted by six countries throughout its first eight editions, but it will return to a familiar place for the first time in 2026.
After being held in London in 2022, the team tennis event will return to the grand European city for a second occasion with Team Europe taking on Team World.
Team Europe’s lineup for 2026 features Carlos Alcaraz, Alexander Zverev, Flavio Cobolli, Rafael Jodor, Jakub Mensik and Casper Ruud.
Team World’s lineup includes Ben Shelton, Alex de Minaur, Taylor Fritz, Learner Tien, Alexander Bublik and Tommy Paul.

Where is the Laver Cup 2026 being played?
For the second time, the O2 Arena in London will host the Laver Cup — after it was the venue in 2022.
The stadium isn’t home to designated sporting teams, but is used for high-profile boxing matches, NBA matches and has hosted the ATP Tour Finals.
The O2 Arena has a capacity of approximately 20,000 for the Laver Cup, with the capacity reducing for concerts and basketball matches.
The last time the Laver Cup was played in London, Team World beat Team Europe, 13-8.
What surface is the Laver Cup played on?
The Laver Cup will once again be played on an indoor hard-court surface, like the previous eight editions.
However, the black hard-court surface used for the Laver Cup is also covered with a layer of sand, which is designed to slow play down and make the rallies longer.
Laver Cup 2026 schedule, dates
The Laver Cup is a three-day event, this year taking place from Friday, Sept. 25 to Sunday, Sept. 27, all at the O2 Arena in London.
Each day, three singles matches and one doubles match are played, to the best of three sets, with the last being disputed as a 10-point tie-break match format.
A team wins by reaching 13 points. Friday’s wins are worth one point, Saturday’s two points and Sunday’s three points — which ensures that no team can become champion before the last day.
If the competition is tied after 12 matches, a final overtime doubles match is played. If only one match is required to win on Sunday, an exhibition match will be played following the trophy ceremony.
