The 2026 U.S. Open at Shinnecock Hills Golf Club is complete, with Wyndham Clark earning his second major championship and second career win at the U.S. Open.

Clark is the third different major winner this season, after Rory McIlroy won the Masters in April and Aaron Rai won the PGA Championship in May.

Clark had to hold on for dear life, though, almost giving back the six-stroke lead he had entering Sunday. He survived, though, much to the chagrin of the Shinnecock Hills crowd. Thankfully for Clark, the history books will not be denoting a new “biggest collapse in major tournament history.”

However, with one major left in the 2026 season, we could still see one happen. The 154th Open Championship, also known as the British Open, is less than a month away. Here’s the full schedule for the event.

When is 2026 Open Championship?

The 2026 Open Championship will take place between Thursday, July 16 and Sunday, July 19 at Royal Birkdale Golf Club in Southport, Merseyside, England.
