Hello and happy Monday, folks. Hope you enjoyed your holiday weekend.

Speaking of Americana, we’ve got a big soccer game on tonight—good news for us here at OTM, since the Sox have a travel day and we need something to talk about. The U.S. takes on Belgium in the World Cup’s round of 16, kickoff from Seattle is 8 p.m. EST.

If you’re not in the loop with what’s been going with the USMNT, a very quick summary of the biggest piece of news that dropped on Sunday:

One of the best players on the team is striker Folarin Balogun. In three matches played thus far in the tournament, he’s got three goals—including one that he scored in the round of 32 against Bosnia and Herzegovina. Another thing that happened in that game: he got called for a (controversial; I’ll leave it at that) red card in the second half, meaning he had to leave that game while also facing a suspension for the team’s next match. Well, FIFA (seemingly arbitrarily) suspended the suspension; Balogun is indeed eligible to play against the Belgians tonight.

So, a fun question for you: if you could give the Balogun reversal treatment—so, reversing a decision made by an ump or the league itself—to any moment in Red Sox history, what would it be?

Is this a stupid question? Yeah, probably. But I’m interested to see what y’all come up with. Get creative!

Be good to each other and go Sox.
