Fans can only hope for a Cup finish that resembles last year’s spring race at Atlanta, when Daniel Suarez beat Kyle Busch and Ryan Blaney to the start-finish line in a three-wide battle for the win.

It’s a good reminder that all 26 regular season races matter equally given that Busch missed the playoffs in 2024. Had he won last February, the RCR struggles would have been put in context with minimal pressure to succeed late in the regular season. Unrelated: Busch won Saturday’s Truck Series race at Atlanta.
