The NASCAR Cup Series Charlotte race weekend begins with Coca-Cola 600 practice and qualifying on May 23, weather permitting.
The sport is still reeling from the news of Kyle Busch’s sudden death on May 21.

Austin Hill will be in Busch’s ride this week, and Richard Childress Racing is suspending use of the No. 8 in Busch’s honor.
NASCAR CEO Steve O’Donnell said on May 22 that the sanctioning body had a list of tributes for Busch it was working through for this weekend and beyond.
