Romano Schmid has openly discussed the difficult time during and especially after the past summer transfer window. For weeks, persistent speculations about a possible departure to the Premier League persisted.
The offensive player from Werder Bremen confirmed in an interview with ‘Sport1’ that those rumors had greatly preoccupied him. “Maybe I’m too sensitive a person who takes such things too close to heart,” the 25-year-old explained.
Despite good performances at the start of the season, the Austrian emphasized that he is still not at one hundred percent. “I have the feeling that something is still missing,” said Schmid. “Then the changes in the team play a role, you have to find your way back in.”
