Top fantasy football roster pieces come from top fantasy football teams. When analyzing the top offenses from 2025, clear findings emerge for players entering the 2026 season, including those joining new franchises, leaving top offenses or being affected by the coaching carousel. Fantasy researcher Joel Smyth goes through different takeaways on what teams scored the most fantasy points last season and where they came from.

Oftentimes, picking a team’s success is easier than predicting a player’s success. If you’re able to find players on teams with offenses that are projected to improve heavily in a single offseason (or the opposite — teams projected to get worse), values begin to appear.

CIN – After scoring the eighth-most fantasy points in 2025, the Bengals offense, which is built to score fantasy points with their heavy passing volume, can be dominant with a healthy Burrow once again in 2026.

SEA – The Super Bowl winning offense that scored the ninth-most fantasy points in 2025 loses its key playcaller, Klint Kubiak.

ARI – In early projections for next season, no team is projected for a larger drop-off, with the Cardinals expected to rank 27th in fantasy points in 2026. How much of the garbage-time production sticks under new coaching?

BAL – After losing Lamar Jackson and ranking 22nd in fantasy points, Baltimore should bounce back to above average, potentially with a more fantasy-friendly style under new offensive coordinator Declan Doyle.

PHI – Philly was a top fantasy offense annually before 2025. With Kevin Patullo out as playcaller and no A.J. Brown, the stars left in Philly can benefit from a substantial offensive bounce-back.

WAS – In early projections for next season, no team is projected for a larger increase in fantasy points. Opposite of Arizona, the Commanders are set up for a big bounce-back with Jayden Daniels healthy.

The question that comes with the offenses as a whole is what sticks year to year. Who can get crushed by an offense regressing, and who can shine on a growing team?

It may not have been the season fantasy managers wanted from their first-round rookie, but Ashton Jeanty was up there with the best when adjusted to the offense he was drafted into. The Raiders ranked 31st in fantasy points and now add a new QB, new coaching staff and help on the offensive line. The boost will help Jeanty much more than your average fantasy RB2 from 2025.

Achane, on the other hand, lost it all. Mike McDaniel is gone, along with his perfect fantasy RB offense, while Tua Tagovailoa is being replaced by rushing QB Malik Willis. One season after Achane finished 0.01% below the overall RB1, it does not seem much has changed for the better at the moment.

The Williams’s

At the other end of the spectrum, Javonte Williams and Kyren Williams have very low percentages as part of top offenses, with Kyren at 14% and Javonte at 13.5%. Kyren’s percentage was even lower when Blake Corum came on in the second half of the season, while Javonte could face more competition as 2025 rookies Phil Mafah and Jaydon Blue gain experience. The real concern is if the offenses regress from a near perfect 2025 situation, respectively, as the Rams and Cowboys ranked first and second in total fantasy points.

Buckeyes Falling?

Compared to 2025, not much looks worse for Puka Nacua, Rashee Rice and Ja’Marr Chase. The Bengals should get a big boost with a healthy Burrow, Mahomes’ ACL tear could surprisingly be a positive for Rice and the Rams offense only concerns matching their high production from last season with no new volume competition. Smith-Njigba, however, who had the highest percentage of team fantasy points by 1.34 percentage points over any other receiver, loses his offensive coordinator.

Olave has other potential problems. He was incredible with Tyler Shough, but that was when the Saints were absent of virtually any other weapon. If Jordyn Tyson is healthy and Travis Etienne Jr. gets the volume you’d expect, Olave will need the offense to be much better in Year 2 with Tyler Shough.

If all NFL offenses were exactly average, the above WRs range from fantasy WR1s to borderline fantasy WR1s. For example, Garrett Wilson has the sixth-highest percentage of team fantasy points. If the Jets can finally turn around their offense, he can finally be a fantasy WR1. The other five all have much better odds of their offenses making that jump. A.J. Brown moves to a top-five fantasy offense with limited competition, a year after a “down year” where his percentage of points was the same as Amon-Ra St. Brown’s.

Baltimore and Washington have clear No. 1 options that add back a healthy QB, with Flowers already finishing just outside of WR1 range in 2025. Finally, the only players above rookie Tetairoa McMillan are fantasy stars. A year of experience and even slightly better offense can go a long way.
