The NFL’s legal tampering period started at noon on Monday, and continues until the new league year starts at 4 p.m. ET today. The Washington Commanders have reportedly agreed to terms on a three-year deal with former Tennessee Titans tight end Chigoziem Okonkwo.

The Commanders may have started the free agency period on the quieter side, but the past 48 hours have been very productive for the burgundy and gold. The tight end position was a spot of need after the injury to Ertz earlier this season, combined with his age and contract expiring after the 2025 season. Okonkwo will bring a different, slightly more flashier side to the tight ends room in Washington. The current room includes John Bates, Ben Sinnott, and Colson Yankoff.
