We are getting closer to the release of the 2026 NFL regular season schedule, which is an event because the marketing folks in the NFL offices on Park Avenue know how to keep this league relevant pretty much year-round now. We’re seeing more and more leaks and rumors about the Minnesota Vikings’ schedule for the upcoming season, which will formally be released at around 6:30 PM Central time (and we will have for you here shortly thereafter), but we wanted to give you a quick update on everything that we think we know right now from various sources.

Week 2 – Vikings at Bears, Soldier Field, according to NFL Nerd

Week 11 – Vikings “at” 49ers, Estadio Banorte, Sunday Night Football (confirmed by the league)
The two X accounts cited above, OzzyNFL and NFL Nerd, have both been doing the schedule thing for a number of years and get this stuff right far, far more often than they get it wrong, so I feel pretty comfortable citing them as sources for these sorts of things.
There have also been a few other matchups floating around out there to this point as well, but I haven’t seen confirmation on those from any source, official or otherwise, so I’m not going to put them out there quite yet. But based on these current leaks, it appears as though we know about half of the Vikings’ schedule, and the purple look like they’re going to get quite a bit of prime time exposure as things stand right now.
