VfB Stuttgart striker Jovan Milošević is reportedly closing in on an €8m move to Sporting Braga. Transfer expert Ben Jacobs reports that the 21-year-old Serbian international has opted to join the Portuguese outfit and is expected to sign a five-year contract. Sky Germany and Kicker confirm advanced negotiations, though a final agreement between the clubs has not yet been reached. Udinese are also attempting to intervene late in proceedings. 

A permanent departure would conclude a Stuttgart chapter that never truly got started. VfB acquired Milošević from Vojvodina for approximately €1.2m in 2023, but the striker managed only a handful of brief Bundesliga appearances before beginning a succession of loans. Stuttgart nevertheless appear poised to pocket an €8m transfer fee that constitutes a significant return on their investment.

Milošević finally found his footing back in Serbia. Get German Football News reported last October that the striker wished to remain with Partizan after finally finding regular playing time in Belgrade. The youngster ultimately scored 19 goals in 30 competitive appearances for Partizan before returning to Germany.

Stuttgart nevertheless elected to retain control of the rising talent. Milošević signed a new contract through 2029 before joining Werder Bremen on loan in January. The move initially required patience, but the Serbian eventually became an important part of Bremen’s relegation fight.

Milošević finished his Werder stint with three goals in 13 Bundesliga appearances. His timely contributions helped rehabilitate his Bundesliga prospects after years spent moving between Stuttgart, St. Gallen and Partizan.
