The Vegas Golden Knights they have assigned forward Girgori Denisenko and goaltender Akira Schmid to their AHL affiliate Henderson Silver Knights.
Vegas recalled Denisenko on Nov. 13 for their game against the Anaheim Ducks, he had no points and played 8:27. He has one goal and six assists in 10 games with Henderson this season.
Schmid appeared in Vegas’ game against Carolina on Nov. 11 and made 12 saves in relief, his lone NHL appearance this season.
The 24-year-old has a 1-5 record with a .885 SV% and 3.56 GAA in the AHL this season.
The Silver Knights need all the help they can get and get two key players back. They sit last in the Pacific Division with a 3-8 record and have allowed the second most goals against this season (47).
These moves appear to signal the Golden Knights captain Mark Stone and goaltender Ilya Samsonov are on the verge of returning from their respective injuries.
The Silver Knights play the Tucson Roadrunners Nov. 15 and 16.
