The combat sports world has lacked something gamers can sink their teeth into. Until now.
Undisputed, the highly-anticipated video game, is ready to showcase the world’s best boxers, past and present. It is the first boxing video game since Fight Night in 2011.
Early access for the game started for PC users on Steam on January 31, 2023. Following several updates, the game will launch on October 11, 2024.
What is the Undisputed video game?
Per the Undisputed website, the Steel City Interactive-developed boxing game “is an authentic boxing game developed with care by dedicated fight fans, alongside the professional boxing community.”
“As gamers and boxing fans, Undisputed is our tribute to the sport that we love,” said Ash Habib, CEO of Steel City Interactive, via Niche Gamer.
The game, formerly known as eSports Boxing Club, promises revolutionary footwork mechanics, punches from multiple angles and directions, real-life boxing organizations, a Career mode, and more.

Undisputed features over 70 real-life men and women boxers including legends and present-day icons. Punch stats are provided by CompuBox. The game offers an unlimited selection of punches to choose from, resulting in various ways to beat your opponent’s guard.
“You’ve got check hooks, moving left or right, stepping in and out, and transitions with movement,” Habib said via Sports Gamers Online. “If you’re a front-foot pressure fighter you can use your lunging hooks, stepping in with your straights, and using all kinds of angles. If you are a back-foot fighter, you’re able to hit those back-foot jabs and step back.”

Undisputed video game: Career Mode
Gamers can create their own fighters and begin as amateurs. You must work up the ladder by negotiating deals, choosing trainers and coaches, and carefully picking fights.
When developing your character, you can choose the fight stance and blocking style you deem fit for your fighter.
There are also various punch sets to choose from, including “Traditional,” “Peek-A-Boo,” “Slugger,” “Muhammed Ali (Unique),” and “Old School,” which includes years ranging from 1930-1959.

Properly developing your fighter in Career Mode can help become a true contender in no time. There are no shortcuts. If you perform well, your character will compete for gold (WBC, IBF, WBO) in no time.
Who will be in the Undisputed video game?
Some of the sports biggest stars, past and present, are included in the video game. The platform will also showcase a women’s division. There were no women featured in 2011’s Fight Night.
