Movsar Evloev won the fight in the record books of the UFC, but not in the eyes of the public.

Evloev was declared the winner of the main event at UFC Fight Night 270, also known as UFC London, on Saturday over Lerone Murphy in a battle of featherweight contenders live on Paramount+. The event aired live from The O2 Arena in London, England.

And while being billed as a title eliminator, it will be interesting to see how UFC officials take the end result between two fighters who entered with a combined record of 36-0-1 for the largest undefeated total in any UFC matchup ever.

When the final whistle sounded ending the 25 minutes fight, two judges ruled in favor of Evloev, 48-46, while the third judge ruled it a draw at 47-47. Social media quickly hit the mark, calling the result into question and declaring that reigning division champion Alexander Volkanovski would have no trouble with Evloev next.

Evloev was deducted a point for an illegal groin kick in the fourth round.

Michael Page posts decision in co-main event

Former Bellator champion Michael Page picked up a main card victory, scoring a decision over Sam Patterson. Page, though, was unable to display some of his trademark striking that made him a household name several years back.

Luke Riley bested Michael Aswell, Jr. in another three-round battle while both Iwo Baraniewski and Danny Silva had finishes. Christian Leroy Duncan downed Roman Dolidze via decision.

Baraniewski, a light heavyweight name to remember, finished off Austen Lane in just 28 seconds while Silva stopped Kurtis Campball at featherweight 31 seconds into the second round.

Five decisions, two finishes on the UFC London prelims

Like the main card, the prelims featured several full-length matches, as five of the seven bouts went the distance.  Brando Pericic and Shanelle Dyer both scored TKO wins.

Mason Jones, Nathaniel Wood, Mario Pinto, Mantas Kondratavicius and Abdul-Kareem Al-Selwady were the other winners.

Up next

The Octagon returns to the United States on Saturday, March 28 with Israel Adesanya taking on Joe Pyfer in Seattle.
