BANDON, Ore. — The 2025 U.S. Women’s Amateur is underway.

The best female amateurs in the world are at Bandon Dunes in Bandon, Oregon, for one of the most prestigious amateur championships in the world. The week begins with 156 players vying for the Robert Cox Trophy, but only one will be able to hoist it come Sunday night.

The first round of stroke play begins Monday morning, with the top 64 players making match play after Tuesday’s cut.

U.S. Women’s Amateur format

Every player in the field will compete in 36 holes of stroke play on Monday and Tuesday, where the field will be cut to the low 64 players for match play, which begins Wednesday. A playoff will be used if needed to determine the 64 players. Then, the Round of 64 takes place Wednesday, Rounds of 32 and 16 on Thursday, quarterfinals on Friday, semifinals on Saturday and the 36-hole championship final on Sunday.
