Tyson Fury took care of his side of the bargain.
The former heavyweight champion defeated Mariusz Wach by seventh-round TKO at Max Muay Thai Stadium in Pattaya, Thailand, continuing his comeback and moving one step closer to a long-awaited fight against Anthony Joshua.
Fury controlled the contest behind his jab and landed the cleaner combinations throughout the night. Wach had occasional success with his right hand, but the 46-year-old absorbed sustained punishment and was unable to come out for the eighth round.
The ringside doctor examined Wach after Round 7 before the fight was stopped, giving Fury his second consecutive victory since returning from retirement.

Fury was comfortably ahead before the stoppage. He repeatedly found a home for his jab, landed several uppercuts at close range and targeted both the head and body as Wach began to slow.
Wach never hit the canvas, but the punishment was enough for the doctor and referee to end the contest after seven completed rounds.

Unfortunately for frustrated boxing fans around the world, there was no television broadcast, pay-per-view or official live stream available for Fury vs. Wach.
Unless fans were among the limited crowd inside the venue, there was no legal way to watch the fight as it happened.
The event was instead recorded for Season 3 of Fury’s Netflix reality series, At Home with the Furys. Footage will be released as part of the documentary series at a later date, although Netflix has not confirmed when the season will premiere or whether the complete fight will be included.
