On Friday morning in Thailand, in front of just 1,500 people, Tyson Fury defeated Mariusz Wach inside the distance at the Max Muay Thai Stadium in Pattaya.
Fury (36-2-1, 25 KOs), the former unified heavyweight world champion, dominated Poland’s Wach and forced the 46-year-old to retire on his stool at the end of Round 7.

Fury’s under-the-radar fight with Wach (39-14, 20 KOs) was not shown live on television but will be featured on the next season of his Netflix series “At Home With The Furys” in the coming months.
With the win, Fury, 37, has done his part in setting up a mega-fight with British rival Anthony Joshua later this year. Joshua, however, must first defeat Kristian Prenga on Saturday in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
“I would’ve jabbed his head off and chinned him,” Fury said when asked how he would’ve done if Joshua was standing across the ring from him tonight.
Fury switched regularly between the orthodox and southpaw stances Friday and let combinations fly early against Wach. Wach enjoyed a spurt of success in Round 2 when he caught Fury with a right hand.
It was clear by Round 3 that Fury could go through the gears and force a stoppage whenever he wanted, but the Brit was content with getting the rounds in.

Fury became more aggressive in Round 6, searching for a stoppage.
Although once in the clinch, that aggression slowed and Fury opted for a different approach, appearing to plant a kiss on Wach mid-fight.
“The Gypsy King” stayed in the pocket in Rounds 6 and 7, landing combinations and busting up Wach’s face.
After taking some sustained punishment, the Polishman’s corner decided their fighter had seen enough at the end of Round 7 and didn’t let Wach answer the bell for Round 8.
Fury has now won twice in 2026 since returning from his latest retirement following back-to-back losses to Oleksandr Usyk in 2024. The former champ scored a lopsided decision victory over Arslanbek Makhmudov this past April.

Wach, on the other hand, has now lost eight out of his past 11 fights. On Friday, Fury became the sixth fighter to beat the former title challenger inside the distance.
