Tyson Fury picked who he believes will be the future of heavyweight boxing.
Fury is currently enjoying some time off after he officially announced his retirement earlier this year.
However, the Brit has now done yet another U-turn and confirmed he will fight again in 2026.
“The Gypsy King” named Anthony Joshua, Oleksandr Usyk and Daniel Dubois as potential opponents.
But one heavyweight rival he joked about not wanting fight was reigning WBC Interim heavyweight champion, Agit Kabayel.
Fury was quoted saying, “F— that, f— fighting him. Agit’s taking over now, it’s takeover time.”
Agit Kabayel’s last three fights has seen him defeat unbeaten Russian Arslanbek Makhmudov, undefeated American Frank Sanchez, and Chinese powerhouse Zhilei Zhang, all by knockout.
As the WBC Interim champion, he is in line for a shot at the undisputed heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk soon.
Who is Agit Kabayel?
Born 23 September 1992 in Leverkusen, Germany, Agit is currently 32-years-old.
His parents are of Kurdish origin, from Pazarcik, Turkey.
His cousin, KC Rebell, is a famous rapper with four number one albums.
Kabayel’s professional debut was way back in June 2011, so he has been a pro for over 14 years now.
He won his first title in 2014 when he edged Olympian Gbenga Oloukun via split decision to win the WBC Mediterranean heavyweight title.
He went on to win European Union, European, WBA Continental, WBA Inter-Continental NABF, WBC Continental Americas, WBO-NABO and WBC Interim heavyweight titles.
He has many notable scalps against Derek Chisora, Andriy Rudenko, Kevin Johnson, Arslanbek Makhmudov, Frank Sanchez, Zhilei Zhang.
