Igor Tudor has an opportunity to match an encouraging record set previously only by Giovanni Trapattoni and Massimiliano Allegri when Juventus take on Hellas Verona away from home in Serie A on Saturday evening.

Juventus currently sit at the top of the Serie A table, level on points with Napoli after three matches. Both sides boast the maximum possible nine points. For Juve, those victories have come against Parma, Genoa and rivals Inter.

Igor Tudor is now looking to become just the third Juventus coach to win four Serie A matches in a row at the start of their first full campaign in charge. Encouragingly, the last two coaches to do so, Trapattoni and Allegri, both went on to win the Scudetto by the end of those seasons.

Trapattoni achieved the feat in 1976 with victories over Lazio, Genoa, Foggia and Catanzaro, while Allegri did it in 2014 with wins over Chievo, Udinese, Milan and Cesena.

Antonio Conte and Marcello Lippi also went unbeaten for four matches at the start of their first full seasons in charge of Juventus before going on to win the title in the same year, but Tudor has an opportunity to go one better than those two with a victory over Verona on Saturday.
