The Cadillac Championship, held at President Donald Trump’s golf course in Miami, will be part of the PGA Tour’s Championship Series in 2028.
Miami’s only PGA Tour event, held at Trump National Doral’s Blue Monster, will be a Signature Event next year when it is contested March 3-7. The full PGA Tour schedule for 2028, when the Championship Series debuts, will be announced at a later date.

But Trump’s course will hold one of the prime spots on that ’28 schedule while the fate of the Cognizant Classic remains unknown.
“From an incredible inaugural year to its future as part of the PGA Tour Championship Series, the Cadillac Championship is quickly becoming a can’t-miss moment on the global sports calendar,” said David Mogensen, Cadillac chief marketing officer. “Cadillac is committed to creating iconic experiences that celebrate performance, technique, and innovation, elevating the sport, its players, and our brand.”

PGA Tour schedule undergoing major overhaul in 2028
The Championship Series, first announced in June, is part of the PGA Tour’s plan to overhaul its schedule starting in 2028. There will be approximately 23-24 tournaments, inclusive of The Players Championship, the four major championships, postseason and international team events (Presidents Cup and Ryder Cup). The season will run from February through August.

The full PGA Tour schedule for 2028, when the Championship Series debuts, will be announced at a later date. Nothing has been decided on the Cognizant Classic after 2027. The 2027 schedule has Cognizant, preceded by Genesis, in late February at PGA National in Palm Beach Gardens, and followed by the Cadillac Championship, The Players and the Arnold Palmer Invitational as part of the Florida swing.
World No. 3 Cameron Young won the inaugural Cadillac Championship, held April 30-May 3 this year, defeating World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler by six strokes. The victory marked Young’s second of the season (after The Players) and third of his career on the PGA Tour.

“The momentum behind the Cadillac Championship continues to grow following an incredible inaugural event,” said Cadillac Championship Executive Director Dave Mack. “With our new dates at the start of the global sports calendar in Miami coupled with our elevation to the PGA Tour’s Championship Series in 2028, we’re building on a successful foundation and creating even greater opportunities for our fans, players, partners and community.”
