The Cadillac Championship, held at President Donald Trump’s golf course in Miami, will be part of the PGA Tour’s new Championship Series in 2028.
In March, the Tour returned to Trump National Doral’s Blue Monster for the first time since 2016, with Cameron Young dusting the field to the tune of a six-shot victory. The Cadillac Championship will be a signature event again in 2027, and Trump’s course will hold one of the prime spots on that 2028 schedule, while the future of another Florida tournament, the Cognizant Classic in the Palm Beaches, remains uncertain.

The Championship Series, first announced in June, is one element of the PGA Tour’s plan to overhaul its schedule starting in 2028. There will be approximately 23 or 24 tournaments, including The Players Championship, the four majors and the playoffs. The season will run from February through August.
The full 2028 schedule will be announced at a later date. Nothing has been decided on the Cognizant Classic after 2027. Next year’s Cognizant Classic is confirmed for late February at PGA National in Palm Beach Gardens, followed by the Cadillac Championship, The Players and the Arnold Palmer Invitational as part of the 2027 Florida swing.
