One interesting change for the preseason this year is that the Rams close their exhibition slate on a Thursday on short rest. The quick turnaround should mostly affect players on the back of the roster and then provide sufficient time for starters to ready themselves for an early international season opener in Melbourne, Australia. The NFL also moved up final roster cuts in order to accommodate any last-minute changes the Rams or 49ers may need to make ahead of their travel plans.

The defending Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks start their season on Wednesday, September 9th hosting the New England Patriots.

The Rams will also be afforded a primetime stage the following night on Thursday against the 49ers—a move potentially made to keep San Francisco fans from taking over SoFi Stadium.

It’s finally here. Training camp and the NFL season are right around the corner.
