Tiger Woods is 50 years old. Yet his legacy may still be growing.
Following yesterday’s TGL semifinals, Woods was asked whether or not he would play at the 2026 Masters. You can see his full response in the video above.

In his response, Woods does not lean either way. He simply points out that his body is not as spruce as it once was and that there are days where he feels fresh enough to play at Augusta. However, those days are mixed with days where he can’t do anything.
“I’ve been working on it,” Woods said. “Sometimes I have good days. Sometimes I have bad days.”
Of course, there is still time for Woods to heal up. The Masters Tournament doesn’t begin for a few weeks, and we know Woods wants to play there again. He has long refused to rule out the possibility to playing that weekend, even as recently as the Genesis Invitational a month ago.
However, even if Woods manages to play in this year’s Masters, it seems unlikely that he will be a serious contender for his sixth green jacket.

When is the 2026 Masters?
The 2026 Masters Tournament is scheduled to start on Thursday, April 9 and run through Sunday, April 12.
When was the last time Woods won at Augusta?
Woods has won the Masters five times throughout his career, most recently in 2019. Prior to that, he’d won most recently in 2005.
Since then, he has only played and finished twice at the Masters (2020, 2022), where he finished tied for 38th and 47th respectively. He also withdrew from the 2023 tournament due to ailing plantar fasciitis. He did not play in either 2024 or 2025, though he did plan to play last year before being forced to have surgery on his Achilles a month prior to the tournament.
