SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. — The final Monday qualifier for the Phoenix Open is in the books and history will show that Steven Fisk won it with a blistering 9-under 63 at Pinnacle Peak Country Club in Scottsdale on a day when the thermometer hit a toasty 84 degrees.

Fisk started off hot, opening eagle-birdie to get a jump on the field of 89 golfers vying for one of three spots at TPC Scottsdale later this week. He closed strong, too, making birdie on five of his last six holes to win by two strokes.

The other two advancing are Max McGreevy, who finished second on the Korn Ferry Tour points list in 2024, as well as Will Chandler. The duo shot matching 7-under 65s.

There were seven golfers who finished a 6 under, a shot out of forcing a playoff. That included Harry Higgs, who missed a 15-foot birdie putt on his final hole, as well as Kevin Chappell.

There were 97 golfers on the original commit list with 89 who actually teed it up. There were 86 players who posted a score after three withdrew during the action.

The Phoenix Open qualifier had been held every year since 1948 but this was the final. The Open, which will have 132 players, will shrink to 120 in 2025 and new PGA Tour rules say that tournaments with field sizes of 120 will no longer have open qualifiers.
