Jon Rahm has made a significant move after LIV Golf Andalucia by returning to the top 10 of the Official World Golf Rankings (OWGR).
Rahm finished second at Real Club Valderrama, two shots behind his Legion XII teammate and winner Tyrrell Hatton.

The event coincided with the latest on the PGA Tour, with the Memorial Tournament having taken place at Muirfield Village.
And it was J.T. Poston who emerged victorious, defeating fellow American Ryan Gerard in a playoff to claim his fourth career PGA Tour win.
He has enjoyed a stunning rise in the OWGR after his success, although a place in the top 10 remains some way away.

After winning the Memorial Tournament, Poston has risen from 94th to 39th, while LIV Golf Andalucia champion Hatton is up from 27th to 21st.
It is, however, Scottie Scheffler who remains top of the pile, with the world number one followed closely by Rory McIlroy in second.

Also unchanged from third to sixth are Cameron Young, Matt Fitzpatrick, Russell Henley and Justin Rose.
But Tommy Fleetwood has managed to rise one place to sixth after finishing T4 at Muirfield, and he is closely followed by Rahm.
A former world number one, the LIV Golf star now finds himself back in the top 10 of the OWGR in eighth.
It is the first time that he has been in that position since the summer of 2024.
Meanwhile, J.J. Spaun is unmoved behind him in ninth, but Collin Morikawa has dropped three places to 10th.

Jon Rahm enjoys extraordinary OWGR rise
It has been a roller-coaster time of late for Rahm, who looked back to his usual self at LIV Golf Andalucia.

He really impressed on home soil, returning to top form after finishing T16 in Korea, his only finish outside the top 10 all season.
Such formidable displays place him atop the LIV Golf individual standings, with the Spaniard currently on track to claim a third successive title.
He was able to take that form into the PGA Championship, finishing in a tie for second, but that arrived shortly after a T38 finish at The Masters.
Notably, his current form has certainly been rewarded in the OWGR, where Rahm has enjoyed a remarkable rise in a very brief period.
Given LIV Golf’s previous lack of recognition by the rankings, the Spaniard found himself all the way down in 97th place at the start of 2026.

But he has stormed his way back into the top 10, which certainly deserves praise amid LIV Golf’s continued strained relationship with ranking points.
