The NASCAR O’Reilly Series competed at Kansas Speedway and it was a thrilling event. Brandon Jones won the first two stages; however, a costly pit road penalty on the final pit stops of the race took him out of contention. Instead, it was his Joe Gibbs Racing teammate who found his way to victory lane.
Taylor Gray and the No. 54 team for Joe Gibbs Racing won the Kansas Lottery 300 at Kansas, earning their first victory of the 2026 O’Reilly Series season. Gray was able to hold off a hard-charging Sheldon Creed, who wasn’t able to get by the No. 54 car in the closing moments of the event.
It was an impressive showing for Gray, as the No. 54 team found its way to victory lane for the first time since NASCAR raced at Martinsville Speedway in October 2025. Now, Gray hopes to carry this momentum into the O’Reilly Series race at Talladega Superspeedway this weekend.
