The Seattle Seahawks made history selecting Jadarian Price with the No. 32 overall selection in the 2026 NFL Draft, marking the first time since the NFL-AFL merger in 1966 that a school has had two running backs picked in the first round.

The other, Arizona Cardinals running back Jeremiyah Love, was hyped as the most talented running back in the draft, and Price played second fiddle to Love at Notre Dame. However, according to SBNation’s latest poll, Seahawks fans aren’t concerned that their team got the wrong Fighting Irish player to spearhead Seattle’s backfield.
Price has the confidence of 60% of Seahawks fans who believe that he’ll rush for more yards than Love in the 2026 NFL season.
(Editor’s note: We are aware the graphic says “Seahawks player” when Love isn’t a Seahawk, and we’ll swap the graphic out on Monday. However… could you imagine if Seattle had drafted Love, too?)
Part of the faith in Price might be the fact that he’s entering a far better situation than Love. Price was drafted by the Super Bowl Champions, who ran the ball the fourth-most times and are set to return all their starting offensive lineman from a year ago.

Being selected in the first round indicates that Seahawks general manager John Schneider and head coach Mike Macdonald see Price as the heir apparent to Kenneth Walker III, who signed with the Kansas City Chiefs in free agency. The Seahawks’ other starting running back, Zach Charbonnet, is recovering from a torn ACL and will miss time during the season, giving Price the spotlight early.
Meanwhile, Love is on his way to the basement of the NFC West, aka an Arizona team that finished 3-14 and lost their starting quarterback over the offseason. This could work in Love’s favor, as he’ll surely get plenty of chances to tote the ball, while Price may continue to split carries with a stable of running backs in the Puget Sound.
Whatever the reason may be, you all don’t seem too worried about the Seahawks running game for next season. Let us know if you agree with the majority of fans, and look out for the next Seahawks React survey next Tuesday.
