Stephen Fulton has now missed weight in back-to-back fights.
Fulton tipped the scales at 139.5 pounds at Saturday’s official weigh-in for his 133-pound catchweight fight with Australia’s Liam Wilson on Sunday afternoon (Saturday night in the U.S.) in Sydney, Australia.
Fulton’s vs. Wilson was set to be the co-feature for Errol Spence Jr. vs. Tim Tszyu, but the fight has now been canceled due to Fulton’s weight miss.

“About 140 pounds, supposed to be 133,” Wilson’s coach Ben Harrington said. “He had no intentions of making it. There’s no effort made at all. What a let-down.”
“This feels like an absolute stitch-up,” Wilson’s manager Glenn Jennings said. “We sign a contract at 130, there’s an expectation you will deliver. It’s totally unacceptable and a blight on the sport. This is unprofessional. There’s nowhere to go for this bloke now.”
A two-division champion, Fulton moved up to boxing’s super featherweight division in 2025 — yet he hasn’t weighed in under the 130-pound limit in either of his scheduled fights since.

He was supposed to challenge O’Shaquie Foster for the WBC super featherweight belt this past December, however the fight was stunningly changed to a WBC interim lightweight title fight at the last minute after Fulton missed weight by two pounds on that occasion.
Fulton’s contest with Wilson was announced as a WBA super featherweight title eliminator. No Limit, the promoter, said this week that the fight would instead take place at a 133-pound catchweight at Fulton’s request. Fulton, however, was unable to make that limit either — and now he will be headed home to Philadelphia without a fight.
