Lautaro Martinez and Inter Milan got back to winning ways in Serie A against Genoa.

It was vital for the Nerazzurri to take three points to bounce back from last weekend’s loss to Juventus.

And that’s what Inter did.

It was not easy. Genoa put up a stern resistance, particularly around their own penalty area.

However, in the end Inter Milan captain Lautaro Martinez headed home the winner in the second half.

And it was an historic goal for Martinez. As stats account Opta noted in a tweet, “Lautaro Martínez, 10 goals in this championship, has become the first foreign player in Inter’s history to reach double figures in goals in six different #SerieA seasons. Consistent.”
