The Muhammad Ali-Joe Frazier rivalry is one of the best in boxing, with both giving it their all each time they stepped inside the ring. Their last fight, in the Philippines, is considered one of the most intense bouts the sport has ever seen.

The fight took place in over 100-degree heat. There was plenty of tension heading into the fight, with Ali spouting words to an incensed Frazier. When they met in the ring, it was a brutal affair.

Both refused to give up after pummeling one another, though Eddie Futch made the call to end the fight for Frazier. Ali later admitted it was the closest he felt to death. Millions of viewers watched the bout, which has been praised for its competitiveness and test of will and endurance.
