Serena Williams is stepping confidently into summer.
In her Instagram post from Thursday, June 12, the 42-year-old tennis legend posed in a black and white striped swimsuit while soaking up the sun in a backyard pool. The photo set featured Williams with arms raised in one shot, playfully twirling in another, and leaning against the edge of the water with a polished confident look.
“Schools out … it’s summer and swimsuit season … hope you are ready!” she captioned the post, which quickly drew thousands of likes and comments. Among them, fans called her a “stunner” and “extreme baddie,” while others chimed in with requests for a comeback, saying they still miss seeing her dominate on the tennis court.
The suit was simple, flattering, and comfortable looking and got its own share of attention, with one user even commenting that they owned the same one and loved how it fit.
Williams retired from pro tennis in 2022 but remains a powerful presence both online and in public life. She stays very active in business, advocacy work, but also offers plenty of updates from her personal life, and it’s higely popular with fans all over the world. She even recently visited Scotland with her husband and tech entrepreneur Alexis Ohanian.
The swimsuit post was also liked by several celebrities, including Ciara, helping it pick up even more attention heading into the weekend.
