Mark Vientos‘ power surge continues.
Facing the Lehigh Valley Iron Pigs on Sunday, Vientos homered not once, not twice, but three times.
Vientos’ three blasts on Sunday give him five for the week.

Syracuse defeated the Iron Pigs 8-0, with six Mets pitchers combining to throw a no-hitter.
The corner infielder has been on the IL since July 10 due to a fractured hand, and when he does eventually get activated by the Mets, his path to playing time may not be straight forward.
“I don’t know,” interim manager Andy Green said about Vientos’ role earlier this week. “I was very forthright with him when he started the rehab assignment that a lot of that will be dictated by how others perform and also by how he performs. Still think there’s a very bright future for him out there if he wants to grab a hold of it. That’s on him.”
It’s been a down season for Vientos, who is hitting just .211 with 11 home runs and 35 RBI in 73 big league games.
As Sunday’s power display proves, the talent is there for Vientos, but he hasn’t been able to put it all together since his 27-homer campaign in 2024.
