The Seattle Seahawks have a long history of finding late-round and undrafted gems at the cornerback spot, mostly recently building up fifth-round pick Riq Woolen into an, albeit controversial, Pro Bowl starter.
Now, John Schneider and Mike Macdonald are turning to the United Football League in hopes of finding depth to bolster their Super Bowl-winning roster. The team is reportedly bringing in former Louisville Kings cornerback Deantre Prince, according to NFL reporter Aaron Wilson.

Prince played six games for the Kings, who took home the United Bowl, the UFL’s championship, in June. The 25-year-old totaled 11 tackles, five pass breakups and one interception. After the team’s first six games, Prince was let go by the Kings, despite being one of their top-rated players on defense.
Prior to his time in the UFL, Prince was a fifth-round pick in 2024 by the Jacksonville Jaguars. In his 10 games with the Jags, he made eight tackles and defended one pass. Prince was targeted 13 times, allowing five completions for 80 yards and a touchdown.
Out of Ole Miss, Prince starred in his senior season, racking up 36 tackles and one interception before he flashed his athletic ability at the combine by running a 4.38-second 40-yard dash time.

The Seahawks aren’t the only NFL team expressing interest in the Ole Miss product, as Prince worked out with the Cleveland Browns in June. If he does make the Seahawks roster, he would join fellow SEC graduate and fifth-round corner from the 2024 draft, Nehemiah Pritchett.
