The Seattle Seahawks are gearing up for their Week 2 divisional showdown with the Arizona Cardinals, most likely with Drew Lock as the starter in place of the injured Sam Darnold. Ahead of Wednesday’s practice (for which there will be an injury report), the Seahawks worked out three defensive players, including an undrafted rookie who was previously with the San Francisco 49ers.

Devan Boykin was a College Football Playoff national champion with Indiana after five seasons at NC State. He played safety and cornerback at both schools and was praised for his versatility. Boykin signed as an undrafted free agent with the Pittsburgh Steelers and was waived during final roster cuts.
Austin Keys also played at two schools, starting at Ole Miss before transferring to Auburn. He was an undrafted free agent pickup by the Minnesota Vikings in 2025, making the initial 53-man roster and playing in 11 games, recording a sack before he was waived at the end of the regular season. Keys joined the Arizona Cardinals, who put him on IR this preseason but gave him an injury settlement, making him a free agent.
Lastly, Larry Worth III is listed as a defensive back, but he can also play linebacker. He was an undrafted signing by the San Francisco 49ers this year and was let go during cut-down day. Listed at 6’4 and 220 pounds, he figures to be more apt as a safety than a linebacker, or a hybrid player at best.
We’ll probably know by Wednesday if any of these players is signed to the active roster or practice squad.
