The racetrack continues to feel like home for Samantha Busch and her family even after the shocking death of her husband, two-time NASCAR Cup Series champion Kyle Busch.
Samantha Busch expressed as much in an Instagram post on Wednesday.

Earlier this week, her 11-year-old son Brexton got behind the wheel in a Legends Car at Charlotte Motor Speedway in the Summer Shootout, finishing sixth on Monday night. On Tuesday, Tom — Kyle Busch’s 72-year-old father — took an honorary lap around the track in his No. 51 Legends Car while Brexton waved the flag.
As Brexton drove his neon green No. 18 machine around the track in Concord, North Carolina, Samantha said it reminded her of Kyle.
“Watching Brexton back at the track is both heartbreaking and beautiful all at once because there are moments when I catch a glimpse of Kyle in him, the same determination, the same passion, the same spark, and for a second it feels like a piece of him is still right here with us,” Samantha Busch wrote. “These moments are incredibly hard, but they also remind me that Kyle’s story isn’t over. It lives on through the dreams he inspired and the two children he loved more than anything.”
