Samantha Busch, the wife of the late NASCAR driver Kyle Busch, is still mourning the sudden loss of her husband.
On Thursday, the young widow announced that NASCAR Cup Series driver Ty Gibbs will honor her late husband in a special way during the night race at Bristol. Gibbs, who drives the No. 54 Toyota Camry XSE for Joe Gibbs Racing, will be rocking Busch’s iconic M&Ms paint scheme.

“Bristol was always one of Kyle’s favorite tracks. He loved racing under the lights, found so much success there, and the iconic M&M’S car holds some of the best memories of his career and our life together,” she announced.
“Going back without him will be heartbreaking. He should be there. But I’m so grateful to be able to tell you that those iconic M&M’S colors will be coming back to Bristol, one last time, on the 54 car. It’s a chance to honor him at a place he loved so much, surrounded by our NASCAR family and the fans who loved him too. I know Kyle would want us to be there, to keep showing up, keep racing, and keep carrying his legacy forward.”

The Bristol night race is scheduled for Saturday, Sep 19, 7:30 PM.
Samantha Busch is still mourning in her own way
Samantha Busch has opened up about grief.
“There is so much I want to share about what losing Kyle has really been like. Not just the sadness but the physical pain that grief causes. The trauma. The disbelief that still hits me every morning I wake up. The way my heart and mind can’t fully accept that this is our reality,” she wrote.

“I’ve always been an open book. Sharing the hard parts of my life has always been important to me. It’s been how I’ve processed, healed and connected with people walking similar roads. From infertility, hair loss, marriage, I’ve shared because I never wanted someone else to feel alone in what they were facing.
“This feels so different.”
