Although running back Travis Etienne Jr. was on a different team for the 2025 season, he was announced as the second member of the New Orleans Saints with a spot on the NFL Top-100 list this year. The former Jacksonville Jaguars tailback was voted as the 96th best player in the league by the results of the league-wide poll of other players.

Etienne signed with New Orleans as a free agent this offseason after the two sides agreed to a 4-year, $52 million contract. The Louisiana native played his prep football with the Jennings High School Bulldogs.

After being drafted in the first round of the 2021 NFL Draft, Etienne played the first four years of his professional career with the Jaguars. Last season, the RB finished with over 1,100 rushing yards on 260 carries, seven touchdowns on the ground, and did not fumble all year.

Etienne is also a weapon in the passing game as a versatile pass catcher out of the backfield. He had 36 receptions for nearly 300 receiving yards and added six additional TDs by way of a catch.

In 2025, the New Orleans Saints were blacklisted from the entire NFL Top-100, but now find themselves with two of the first announced players (Cam Jordan, No. 100). Another former Saint made headlines when linebacker Demario Davis was ranked at No. 95 on the list.

Regardless of what team Travis Etienne is a representative of on this year’s list, I am sure that both Saints fans and those within the organization are ecstatic to have another top NFL talent on the roster this season.
