The Buffalo Sabres should consider adding another skilled forward to their roster before the start of the season. When looking at trade candidates around the NHL, Boston Bruins forward Pavel Zacha is an interesting potential option to consider.
Zacha just had an excellent 2025-26 season with the Bruins, posting new career highs with 30 goals and 65 points. He has also recorded at least 57 points in three out of his last four seasons. With numbers like these, he would have the potential to be a very good addition to the Sabres’ roster. This is especially so when noting that he also plays a strong two-way game.

With Zacha entering the final season of his contract, questions have come up about his future in Boston. If negotiations do not go well and he ends up being made available for trade, the Sabres would be very wise to make a push for him. He would offer them with an upgrade for their second-line center spot. However, he can also play the wing, which only adds to his appeal.
It will be interesting to see if the Sabres end up making a push for Zacha this off-season, but the fit looks strong on paper.
