The 2025 Ryder Cup is officially underway.
The Ryder Cup opening ceremony took place on Wednesday afternoon from Bethpage Black on Long Island. While the event is typically held on the Thursday before the biennial three-day event, it was moved up to Wednesday due to expected storms in the area.

Pairings for the first session on Friday morning will still be revealed on Thursday afternoon, just at a separate event.

The Europeans were introduced first. Captain Luke Donald was hit with a decent amount of boos from the American crowd in New York as he walked out first.

The Ryder Cup will get started on Friday morning with a series of foursomes, or alternate shot, matches. The afternoon session will include four four-ball, or best ball, matches.
