That’s precisely what pro golfer Rory McIlroy’s 4-year-old daughter Poppy did Wednesday, April 9, at The Masters Tournament Par 3 Contest at Augusta National Golf Club.
Staring down the pin with a water hazard as the backdrop, McIlroy’s daughter barely tapped her No. 9 hole birdie putt and let the green take over from there.
When the ball hit the bottom of the cup, the crowd at Augusta erupted with cheers and applause.
McIlroy described the moment with his daughter at the family-friendly Masters event “very cool,” per The Guardian.
Perhaps the young McIlroy has a future in the sport just like dad.
