Rory McIlroy is absolutely feeling it at the 2025 Masters on Saturday in Augusta, Georgia.

After setting a tournament record with six consecutive threes to begin his round, the Northern Irishman moved to 12-under par and four strokes up on the field with an eagle on No. 15 that gave golf fans Tiger Woods flashbacks.

McIlroy drove 339 yards off the tee at the par-5, leaving himself a shade over 200 yards to the hole.

What happened next was one of the most beautiful approach shots you’ll ever see at Augusta National, and McIlroy knew it the second he made contact with the ball.

Look at the way this guy took off before the ball had even reached the top of its arc. That is confidence on a level that we’ve rarely seen since Woods’ prime. In fact, it looked an awful lot like the shot Woods hit on No. 15 in 2011 to set up his eagle putt.

There’s still a long way to go before McIlroy is wearing a green jacket on Sunday evening, but if he ends up clinching the career grand slam, this shot will be a massive reason why.
